Our eyes filled with tears as we uploaded this wedding because we started to relive the emotional and unforgettable moments. The wedding day can go by so quickly, but it is made up of so many individual moments and as we look through these photos we are already flooded with memories! One of our favorite moments was right before the bride’s dad was about to walk her down he aisle, she looked back at him and her eyes filled with tears. It’s the moments you dream of and plan for, but when they arrive they’re better than you imagined! It’s the first time you say “husband” and realize the planning is over and you’re officially married! Oh how we love candids of these moments, the images that take you right back to how you felt in that very moment! This wedding was filled with laughter, happy tears, all the wine and so much celebration! And to top it all off this couple is best friends and madly in love, and they are classy through and through!

Shannon and James have been together for over five years, and they are so cute together! They met in Santa Barbara, but quickly learned they went to middle school and high school together in Mission Viejo! How fun is that?!  They grew up right next to each other and walked the same halls, but didn’t meet till years later. The day they met they connected instantly and their lives were never the same. They quickly fell in love as they spent their time together traveling, reading, cooking at home with a fantastic bottle of wine (our kind of people), or meeting friends for happy hour (like we said, our kind of people). We had so much fun getting to know them better during their Sunstone Engagement session and we have been counting down the days till their wedding!

Their wedding day started with the bridal party getting ready at the Santa Barbara Club, which feels like it is straight out of the board game Clue. Just wait till you see the photos of Shannon, in the library, with the bouquet! They had a beautiful ceremony at Our lady of Sorrows and then a trolley came to pick up the bridal party and took them all around downtown Santa Barbara to the prettiest spots for photos! Such a fun and clever way to incorporate classic Santa Barbara traditions while getting around. We had such a wonderful time with their amazing bridal party, and then headed back to the Santa Barabra Club for a night of great food, wine, and celebration! We love the way James and Shannon make each other laugh, and we are so thankful for their incredible friends who they’ve surrounded themselves with. We had such a wonderful time photographing their wedding day, and we wish we could sneak in their luggage as they travel to Italy for their honeymoon!
