We are so excited to share this Sunstone engagement session with you because it involves so many of our favorite things: wine, golden light, Sunstone, a couple who is best friends and madly in love, and classy outfits!

We loved getting to know this sweet couple. Shannon and James have been together for over five years, and they are so cute together! They met in Santa Barbara, but quickly learned they went to middle school and high school together in Mission Viejo! How fun is that?!  They grew up right new to each other and walked the same halls, but didn’t meet till years later. The day they met they connected instantly and their lives were never the same. They quickly fell in love as they spent their time together traveling, reading, cooking at home with a fantastic bottle of wine (our kind of people), or meeting friends for happy hour (like we said, our kind of people). We are so excited for their wedding because it will be a fabulous party with all of their friends and family and great wine, which sounds like a dream to us!

When we were first talking to Shannon she mentioned her love for wine, and we thought it would be great to do their engagement session at a winery in Santa Ynez. When they showed up to sunstone looking oh so classy in her white dress and his suit jacket,  it made us even more excited! We absolutely love when our couples dress up for their engagement session, because when you look your best your confidence will show in the photos, and these two looked incredible! We started with a bottle of  Viognier and sat in the courtyard getting to know them a little better, and then we had such a wonderful time walking around the vineyard in golden light. Shannon and James love a good excuse to dress up, so their engagement photos were the perfect excuse to look phenomenal in the middle of the week! We are so excited to share a few of our favorites with you, and we can’t wait for their wedding at The Santa Barbara Club in July!
