Santa Barbara Historical Museum: CJ & Ashley

Filed in: Weddings

Over the past decade we have photographed hundreds of weddings, and you’d think it would get old after a while, but it’s the exact opposite! We fall more in love with what we do every. single. weekend. We loved everything about this wedding, and oh my, the incredible first look brought us to tears, and then we cried all over again during the ceremony! Just wait till you see his reaction!

And oh how we love springtime weddings! There is so much life and color and CJ & Ashley are one of the sweetest couples we’ve ever worked with! After just a few minutes with them it’s obvious they belong together. Between the cute little glances she gives him, and the way he truly lights up when he looks into her eyes, it’s clear they are best of friends and head over heels! And they happened to get married at one of our favorite venues! We try not to pick favorites, but a wedding that is in downtown Santa Barbara, and close enough for us to walk to, has definitely got us a little biased and so in love!

Speaking of favorites…one of our favorite things is getting to spend time with our couples before their wedding day and hearing all their plans and vision for the wedding day. We absolutely loved hearing about Ashley and CJ’s vision of classy and colorful and after they told us their dream team of vendors we were even more excited. But when we arrived on the wedding day we were blown away by the beauty and all the incredible details that made for an exceptional wedding! The fabric and lights by Bella Vista were our favorite installation we have ever seen at Santa Barabra Historical, and then when we saw the gorgeous tables and rentals by Ventura Rentals and Party Pleasers, we couldn’t stop smiling! And just wait till you see the florals! We can’t stop bragging about the amazing florals by Nina from CocoRose! From beginning to end it was a perfect celebration! They had a beautiful ceremony, with the most intimate and special time of communion, a relaxed and joyful cocktail hour, an amazing reception (we still can’t get over the decor) and the meal by Omni Catering was out of this world delicious (two words: Kobe beef), then they had a packed Wittybooth and dance floor all night, and topped it off with a bubble exit! This wedding was full of life and joy and we are absolutely thrilled to share it with you!
