Two thousand nine was the summer of love for Ciro and Michelle. They met while working together at a pool. She was the lifeguard (think Wendy Peffercorn status) and he was a park supervisor, but don’t worry he didn’t fake a downing to get her to kiss him…although we still think that scene in Sandlot is the best! At first, Ciro and Michelle were actually just friends, and loved hanging out and laughing together. But the timing wasn’t quite right that summer, but those few months were so special they knew when they said goodbye it wasn’t forever. Michelle went off to school, and three years later their paths crossed again…and this time they were both available and Ciro decided to ask her out on a formal date. Because of their amazing friendship, they quickly fell for each other and he proposed two years later.
This amazing couple lives in New York and the first time we got to meet them was for their destination engagement session in Savannah, Georgia. Ciro and Michelle are incredible, and they drove 14 hours each way for their engagement session, and just wait till you see how the photos turned out! We fell in love with the way the light illuminated the trees, and our hearts were so full as we photographed this sweet couple as they danced under the trees.
We have been counting down the days until their wedding, and their wedding did not disappoint! They got married at a beautiful venue just outside of NY in New Jersey, called The Park Savoy and it was incredible! The venue itself is stunning, the staff was accommodating and kind, and the way they designed their wedding was beautiful! Ciro & Michelle are classy and full of life. Their wedding was inspired by Anne of Green Gables and Game of Thrones, and it was truly the perfect mix. Classy and timeless with a provocative twist. We loved everything about their wedding! Their colors and details were beautiful, and Michelle’s dress by Galia Lahav took our breath away! We loved their their first look, (Ciro’s expression is priceless) and we are so thankful we got to do all of the portraits before the ceremony, so they got to enjoy more time with their guests and even get in a little moment with just the two of them. The reception was honestly one of the most fun receptions we have ever experienced! Complete with incredible dancing (chairs in the air), a beautiful display of delicious food, ice sculptures, a cigar rolling bar, a dessert station with dozens of dessert stations, and at one point there were 5 foot flames while they kissed behind it! It was an incredible wedding day and we are so excited to share a few of our favorites!
