Montecito Engagement Session: Ross & Ari

You know when you meet someone and you can immediately tell you’re going to be friends? That’s how it was the first time we hung out with Ross and Ari. Jess went to Westmont with Ari, so she had known her for a few years. When she saw Ari’s name in our inbox and realized it was an email to tell us they were engaged we were thrilled! Then when they told use they are getting married at The Royal Palms in Arizona this fall, we could barely contain our excitement! We had been dreaming of photographing a wedding at the Royal Palms, so this was like a dream come true. So was their Montecito Engagement Session!

We had an amazing time hearing their love story, and we couldn’t wait to schedule their engagement session in Santa Barbara in the spring. They came out to SB but it ended up being a cold and rainy day so we had dinner and drinks at The Lark and rescheduled for summer. As we sat across the table from them we watched as they held hands under the table and kept glancing at each other as they told us more of their story. It made us smile just to watch the sweet ways they love each other.

After a wonderful time at The Lark we said goodbye but we were already counting down the days till we got to see them again! When the beautiful Sunday in June came, Ross and Ari came all the way from Arizona to Santa Barbara for their session, and it looked like Santa Barbara’s sunshine put on a show for them! It was gorgeous and dreamy golden light like you wouldn’t believe, and they looked incredible! We absolutely loved Ari’s dresses, and Ross looked oh so sharp as well! And on top of looking like a million bucks, they are so thoughtful. They even brought along shells they collected from the BVIs for us to photograph her ring on. You know how much we love ring shots, so this was such treat.

Ross is charming and handsome, and we love the way he can make Ari blush, laugh and smile with ease. Their love is playful and fun, and made our job easy. Ari is such a babe, and has a smile that can light up the whole room, and she sure can work the camera! When we were taking individuals of her she kept giving this look that totally looked like Kate Hudson! Hello bombshell. They are beautiful inside and out, and we had such a wonderful time photographing them and we cannot wait for their wedding!
