Jad & Bryana met their first week of college at the University of Virginia, where they lived one floor apart in the freshman dorms. They happened to have their first class together (thank you Intro to Psychology), and three months later, after many study and lunch dates, they became officially boyfriend and girlfriend! 

Bryana is such a beautiful human, inside and out. Her sense of humor, silliness, selfless love for other people, and her incredible work ethic are just a few things Jad loves about her the most. She always goes above and beyond – whether it’s to make other people feel special or putting in extra work towards a goal of hers. No matter how busy she is or what’s going on in her life, she gives more than she takes. 

Jad is a supporter – he’s not only the most intellectual person Bryana has ever met, but he does nothing but lift other people up and challenge them in the best ways possible. On top of this, he’s a true gentleman and is loyal to the bone. Bryana loves his logical, realistic approach to life, as well as his ability to let loose and embrace her silliness.

Their proposal story is too good not to share. December of 2018, Jad flew from his clinical orientation to LAX, where Bryana picked him up and headed back to Santa Barbara. After a lovely day together visiting their favorite spots, they got ready for Bryana’s “cousin’s surprise party” at the Coral Casino. Before they went in, Jad took Bryana’s hand and led her to go watch the sunset. Arriving at a balcony overlooking the beach, Bryana stared at a beautiful wreath of flowers and lanterns making a walkway down in the sand.

Jad led her down to the beach (Bryana trying to breathe), and when they reached the flowers, he got down on one knee and asked the life changing question: “Bryana Lauryn Schantz, will you marry me?” When Bryana said a big YES, her family cheered up from the balcony at the Coral! 

As if that isn’t the most romantic love story — their engagement session was seriously one of the dreamiest and most perfect engagement sessions to date. Bryana wore a custom pastel blue dress, and her gigantic bouquet of beautiful peonies matched the cotton candy sunset perfectly! These two are seriously the dream team. Their sense of adventure and zest for life shines through, especially when they’re together. They’re best friends, and we truly can’t wait to celebrate their big day with them!
