One of my favorite questions to ask couples is how they met. Jason and Dana have an amazing story! Dana was a student in Jason’s AP English class in Hong Kong 6 years ago. They had a normal teacher to student relationship, but Dana had such an impact on Jason he wrote a book about her without telling her till years later!! After Dana graduated she contacted Jason because he had been on her heart, and when they met up they talked for hours, and they started a friendship that deepened every time they talked. They would write emails, text, talk on the phone and skype for hours and hours, and they began falling for each other. Jason came out to LA to visit Dana and after a wonderful evening together and a kiss on the beach in Malibu, they were officially a couple. Jason moved out to LA a year later and it wasn’t long before he proposed!!!

I remember Dana telling me about Jason right when they started dating. She said “Jess, he’s the one and I’ll be contacting you in a little bit about our wedding.” She was right, and I am SO glad I got to photograph their wedding! When we did their engagement shoot a few months back, I asked when they first said “I love you” and Jason said the sweetest thing. He said “well I’ve loved her for 6 years, but we told each other a few years back.” Jason has loved Dana for years and it is incredible to see how their love for each other has grown over time. I can’t wait to see their love continue to grow forever!
