A Westmont College Santa Barbara Wedding

Connor and Margaret had a beautiful Santa Barbara wedding at Westmont College last weekend. These cuties were high school sweet hearts and their love for each other is so sweet! They way they look at each other melts our heats because you can tell without a doubt it’s authentic and real.

The first time we met with Margaret was over a cappuccino at The French Press, and what we thought would be a 30 minute meeting turned into a few hours, and by the end we were laughing and sharing life together! We quickly fell in love with the way they love each other. They are playful and adventurous, and cherish the little moments together. Margaret is a beautiful woman. She is kind and loyal and deeply cares for friends and family.  Connor is thoughtful and hard working, and oh he looks real good in a black tux!

Their wedding day was like a classy dream. The day started with the girls getting ready at The Fess Parker Double Tree, and the morning was filled with laughter and happy tears as she told each girl how much they mean to her, and gifted them the cutest getting ready outfits, and personalized flasks of course! Jess was swooning over her details of nude Coach heels, Amsale dress, Chanel perfume, and an all white bouquet of peonies! Kristi and Emily of Style Me Kristi beautified all the girls up, and when Margaret put her dress on and the custom made veil her mother designed and created for her, it took everyone’s breath away. She is absolutely stunning! And the lovely bridesmaids couldn’t stop crying as they watched their sweet friend prepare to walk down the aisle. Connor got ready at his parent’s home and the guys had a perfect morning of cheers and celebration! Then came time for the first look.We always love when our couples do a first look because it’s the perfect time to say “hi” to each other on the wedding day and actually get a moment alone to take a deep breath together. (and when you do a first look you get WAY more portraits, and just wait till you see how much fun we had with their photos). Their first look was perfect. When Connor turned around and saw his bride he turned bright red and had the biggest smile on his face! In that moment they realized what was happening, and they held each other and cried and prayed and smiled knowing the wedding day was here. After beautiful portraits and such a great time with their good looking and classy bridal party we headed up to Montecito Presbyterian for the ceremony. The church was filled with fiends and family who flew from all over the world, some as far as Ukraine, to celebrate their union, and it was a beautiful ceremony. After the ceremony we drove up the hill to Westmont College, and it looked like a wedding wonderland! The reception on Magnolia Lawn was breathtaking with the long tables, taupe linens, chiavari chairs and white peonies. Oh what a dream to photograph! And light was absolutely perfect all afternoon, and the sweet way Connor and Margaret look at each other makes our job so easy! Their reception was filled with beautiful words of widsom, and musical numbers, and blessings from all ages, and we couldn’t think of a better way to start their marriage!
