On July 9th 2013 we got engaged! We still cry happy tears every time we watch the video and we are SO thankful our dear friend Tye of Like A Letter dressed incognito as a tourist and handheld the camera to capture this beautiful moment!!

Here are Jess’ words from the day we got engaged: I’m ENGAGED!!! To my very best friend!!! I was completely surprised and the proposal was straight out of a dream!!!! We walked out to the Santa Barbara wharf to watch the sunset and there was champagne and flowers set up in a heart exactly where we first said “I love you.” He walked me into it and started telling me how much he loves me and how this has been the best year of his life, and then he said “I love you so much and it’s come to the point where I can’t love you any more than I already do in this season, so it’s time for a new season!!” Then he dropped to one knee and said “Jessica Fairchild will you marry me??” And I screamed yessssss and we kissed and he threw his arms around me and turned me around to see both of our families and 30 closest friends running toward us screaming congrats!!! And the best part is Montana was hiding behind a bench taking photos and Tye was filming the whole thing dressed as a tourist so I didn’t even recognize him!!! It was the happiest moment of my life thus far, and I am beyond excited to spend every day of my life with my best friend and FIANCE!!! Thank you to everyone who helped plan and kept it a secret!! I was surprised and blown away and blessed beyond belief!!! And Tye already posted the video of our proposal, it’s below if  you want to watch it!!
