Val and Kitty had a beautiful wedding at the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This was our first time in Santa Fe, and we had so much fun enjoying and exploring the city. So much history and color and culture, and we loved the Four Seasons property! It was a destination wedding for everyone, and they had guests come from all over the world! During Val’s speech at the reception, he complimented Kitty’s friends and family by saying it is easy to see where she gets all the things that he loves so much about her.
Val and Kitty were long distance for a while, and Val’s family knew she was the one when they saw how much it pained him to leave her each weekend. The distance grew them closer together, and helped their love and affection grow. His brother described them as “perfectly happy together” and we love that description.
Val is strong and handsome, and quickly will become one of your favorite people. It was obvious by his actions that he was completely dedicated to her from the second they started dating. He truly treats her like the queen she is and puts her first. Kitty is fiery, and loves fiercely, and she even carries hot sauce in her purse at all times. She is a dependable and loyal friend, and always up for fun and adventure.
Friends and family all say that they have never seen them so happy as when they found each other. Their love is inspiring, and they truly bring out the best in each other. They’re best friends, and we cannot wait to see how they continue to grow together.
The day started off with everyone getting ready in suites on the Four Seasons property, and you could hear the laughter coming from the girl’s room from the parking lot. Kitty is surrounded by some amazing women and they know how to celebrate! Some of our favorite details of the day were how Val & Kitty incorporated the unique things they loved. They had actual pieces of cactus with names written on them for place cards. They also had a cactus cross for the ceremony! The bride loves hot sauce so much (like we said, she carries it in her purse at all times) so they had their own bottles of Chalula made with a photo of them on it, and their last name as the sauce name, such a cute idea! They used beautiful gems and rocks from her family’s shop to decorate the reception space. They had a mariachi band play immediately following the ceremony, and they lead everyone over to the reception. And to top it all off, they had a tequila donkey join the reception, and it was one of the most incredible things we have ever seen at a wedding! They ended the day with a sparkler exit in the rain, which was one of the most magical exits we’ve ever photographed! The day was filled with laugher, cheers and celebration, and we are so excited to share our favorites with you!
