Brunch is the best meal of the week, right? It’s basically two meals in one, always involves a cheers of endless mimosas, great company, and a relaxed setting. So what’s not to love? New Yorkers know what up when it comes to brunch. They will brunch till 4:00pm in the afternoon on a Saturday or Sunday. Since we spend so much time out there we’ve started to adapt to the idea of an all day meal with amazing drinks, food and friends. To be honest, the adjustment wasn’t very difficult anyway. We love brunch, and as soon as we heard Izzy & Cristina were having a brunch wedding we were thrilled! Have you ever thought about having brunch wedding?
Izzy & Cristina had originally planned their wedding at the Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara, but unfortunately it had to be relocated due to the Montecito Mudslides. Although switching locations can be a nightmare, they had an amazing team of vendors including Nina of Nina Moore Designs and it all worked for the best! Plus the view from the Belmond El Encanto is absolutely gorgeous!
When we arrived we could hear the girls laughing from outside the room. What a blessing to walk into a room knowing it was such a relaxed and pleasant morning. Cristina’s girls were helpful and ready to celebrate for Cristina in every way. Once guests started arriving we couldn’t help but compliment how amazing they all looked! Every guest was perfectly dressed for brunch! Neutral colored suits for the guys, and floral dresses with fantastic heels for the girls. As soon as the guests walked up to the ceremony, they were each handed a glass of champagne to enjoy during the ceremony! How fun is that?! We did the this with wine & beer at our wedding, so we were so excited when we found out they were doing the same! It helps your guests realize it is time the start celebrating the second they arrive!
Izzy & Cristina’s ceremony took place on the Lily Pond, and it was such a special moment when Cristina’s dad walked her down the bridge over the pond. Even the turtles from the pond looked up to watch. They had a beautiful ceremony led by their dear friend, with personal vows (our favorite), and then they walked over the pond and were greeted with champagne again! We took a few photos around the property, and we love photographing their connection. Izzy & Cristina have a sweet and playful love, and were a joy to photograph. After we took an epic El Encanto pool photo, we waled back up the beautiful designed floral staircase (thanks so EmmaRose Floral) and continued celebrating with their guests in the Channel Islands Terrace. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, and it was the perfect place for an intimate brunch! We had such a wonderful time capturing the this wedding and all the special moments and we’re so excited to share our favorites!
