Chris is a wonderful musician, and one night when he was playing a show in Carpinteria he noticed a girl at his show and locked eyes with her and he made a point to say hello afterards. He said most girls wouldn’t catch his eye, but knew this girl was different from the second he looked into her deep dark and beautiful brown eyes. It’s no surprise Alex is the one who caught his eye, she is a bombshell, and a fashionista and when she met Chris she quickly noticed his handsome charm, and oh how they fell for each other!

Their engagement shoot was nothing short of perfect. When Alex walked up in a european dress from Jess’ favorite online clothing site Asos we just about fell over with excitement, she looked stunning and Chris looked incredible too! We adventured though hundreds of oak trees that have a special story. When they were first dating Alex would drive to Chris’s house and the backroads she took passed by this stunning forrest. Every time she drove past them she thought of how excited she was to see Chris and seeing the forest became part of her anticipation! When we were brainstorming locations and she mentioned this one we knew it would be perfect because of it’s beautify and significance! And it was a magical forest indeed, part way through we spotted a deer who just wanted to watch! The more they laughed, kissed and flirted the closer the deer came to us, how fun is that?! It was such a special moment! We then headed over to Jellybowl beach in Carptineria and when Chris and Alex showed us their second outfits we almost fell over again with excitement! (dress by Free People). They both have incredible style and we absolutely loved their outfits! We are always big fans of a statement dress over a statement necklace, and believe when you’ve got it you should tastefully flaunt it, and this girl did it perfectly with grace and flare! We climbed and played among the tide pools in golden light until the sun set, and it was pretty much perfect. The way these two love each other made them a dream to photograph and we are so excited to share a few of our favorite images and can’t wait for their wedding this fall!
