We are so excited to kick off engagement season with this gorgeous Four Seasons engagement session! After record breaking rainstorms, we are so thankful for the sunshine lately especially because it means we get to do more engagement sessions! As we started to plan AJ and Candace’s session we picked a Friday and then found out it was AJ’s birthday! We said we were happy to reschedule, but AJ wanted to do the engagement session on his birthday. We were so honored that he wanted to celebrate his birthday by taking photos with his lovely fiancee! We were so thankful the weather forecast was sunny and gorgeous, and we knew the golden light would be extra beautiful at Butterfly Beach!

The engagement session started with drinks at the Ty Lounge and then we walked around the gorgeous landscape at Four Seasons The Biltmore Santa Barbara until we got to the famous fountain. And by famous fountain we mean the fountain AJ proposed by! When he was planning the proposal last September he had it all set to happen by the gorgeous tile fountain. But Candace was not even suspecting a proposal that day so she went ahead into the restaurant without stopping by the fountain! AJ had to stall the photographer to wait till after they ate! After lunch he led Candace by the fountain which he called “famous fountain from Italy”  in order to make her more intrigued! When the moment was perfect, he proposed and she was surprised and so excited! Oh how we love a surprise proposal, and just wait till you see the ring!

When he told us the story, we knew the fountain had to make a cameo in their engagement photos! After the fountain, we walked over to the beach and it was breathtaking as usual! They ran, skipped, danced and flirted as the sun set and we took some of our all-time favorite engagement images! We absolutely love the way these two look at each other, and they are playful and have so much fun together! We always love how white dresses flow and catch the sunlight, and Candace looked absolutely stunning in her white dress! And then she changed into a super cute romper, and we were excited because we believe rompers are always a good idea! We can only imagine how amazing she will look on the wedding day, and we know AJ is going to be classically handsome! We are absolutely thrilled to kick off engagement season with this incredible engagement session, and so excited to share it with you!
