Here are four tips we’ve learned along the way. Try these if you want to spice up your next destination wedding experience!
Traveling can come with its challenges, but standing in lines doesn’t have to be one of them. We love our TSA Pre-Check because it expedites the whole process, and is an easy way to make travel a bit easier. Fill out your TSA Pre-Check Application here.
We prefer Delta. But whatever airline you choose to fly, stick with them. Not only will your brain remember the experience, facilities, processes, and insider tricks. But those travel points add up! We love using ours on… yup, more travel!
A lot of destination wedding photographers will fly in the night before. This might save time out of your week, but what if your flight is delayed, you lock your keys in the apartment, or some other unforeseen circumstance takes you by surprise? You may wind up with a short night of sleep and an exhausted demeanor during the wedding. We prefer to fly in a day early to make sure we are at our BEST during our clients wedding. Also, to get a head start on those nightlife cocktails.
This is one of the best things we do to set up the actual wedding day. Why? Because we familiarize ourselves with the venue, our clients, and some of the guests. This almost always results in a wedding party that already knows us and is comfortable around us. And when clients are comfortable and having fun, it makes it a lot easier to capture their joy. You can usually include “Rehearsal Dinner” as an add-on to your product suite.
