We are extra excited to share this wedding with you because the groom’s family is close to our heart! We have now photographed three of the Richardson kid’s weddings, and every one of them has been an incredible celebration! From the moment we saw them at the rehearsal dinner we truly felt like family, and we knew it was going to be a party! The Richardsons have a way of making you feel loved and welcomed the second they meet you! And we felt the love the entire weekend! The wedding was originally planned for Maine, but they switched it to Santa Barbara and Mike & Ash picked the perfect venue for their classy wedding! The Santa Barbara Club feels like you are inside the house in the game of Clue; there’s even a Library and a Billards Room…what more could you want?  But above all, Mike and Ash have such a special love for each other. The way they feel for each other is evident in everything they do.  The glances they give, and the way they wrap up in each other’s arms, makes it so clear how much they love each other.

Their wedding day started with the girls getting ready upstairs of the SB Club while the beautiful patio was being set up for the ceremony. The girls looked like they were ready to walk onto a 007 movie set in the stunning red dresses and we had so much fun taking photos as they tried not to cry when they saw the stunning bride. Mike and Ash had beautiful ceremony and lovely cocktail hour and then they did something special for the reception. In lieu of traditional reception with garter toss, bouquet toss, cake cutting, etc., they decided to do a Casino Night! And it was epic! Jess gambled for the first time in her life and she was really good at it (it may just be beginners luck, but we’re thinking of planning a trip to Las Vegas now). It was a wonderful celebration and the room was filled with so much joy as their guests enjoyed the night! We truly had a blast and we are so excited to share a few of our favorites.
