We love destination engagement sessions, and this San Francisco engagement was such a fun way to kick off our week of five engagement sessions!
We first met Erin last fall at a wedding. Erin was bridesmaid in Ryan and Hannah‘s wedding in Half Moon Bay last November. All of the bridesmaids in that wedding were incredible and loved and celebrated the bride so well! So when Erin reached out to us to let us know that she was engaged and planning her wedding we were thrilled! Erin and Pat are such. a. fun. couple. From the second you meet them you can immediately tell they are a great match, and they love to make each other laugh!
We started the shoot with drinks at Coqueta which is a cute little place that has amazing cocktails and a beautiful view of the water. Then we walked out onto Pier 7 for the beginning of the shoot. While we were on Pier 7 we ran into five other photographers also doing engagement sessions! I guess it is just that season. But we were creative and managed to not get in their way and not get in any of each others shots! Pier 7 has a perfect and symmetrical view of the Transamerica Pyramid, which made for a perfect backdrop! Then we headed over to Erin & Pat’s house for a few photos on their rooftop. They have an incredible 360 degree view of the city! We then headed over to Chrissy Field for a sunset! We were worried we wouldn’t get a pretty sunset because San Francisco is notorious for the fog. They even have a name for it: Karl the fog. But we lucked out and got gorgeous sunset with amazing golden light! And the field was green from all the recent rain! The second we got there, they ran toward the light and danced and twirled as the sun set. It was just as dreamy as it sounds! Then we walked down by the shore for a few beach photos, and ended with some amazing photos with he Golden Gate as a backdrop. It was an incredible session and we are so excited to share a few of our favorites with you!
