From the second Ryan and Holly met, Ryan knew he wanted to win Holly over and would keep pursuing her until he did. Ever since, the two have been the perfect match. Ryan’s friends joke about how he became “Nice Ryan” after he started dating Holly. One thing everyone seems to agree on, is that they couldn’t have picked a better pair then these two.
Holly and Ryan’s wedding took place at the Ritz Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara. We LOVE the Bacara resort. Jess and her girls have had many a girls trip here and it’s where we spent the first two nights of our honeymoon, so it is a very special place to us as a couple.
The day started off with the girls getting ready, as TEAM hair & makeup beautified them in a suite overlooking the ocean. When we walked in Holly’s details were already beautifully laid out with a custom Mrs Box and golden Jimmy Choos! Next up was the first look. Holly and Ryan chose a beautiful spot in the shade of the peppercorn trees on the property for their first look. We loved his reaction! He was so excited and so proud of how his girl looked. They are such a beautiful couple!
The ceremony was set up on a bluff over the ocean. So pretty!!! The Santa Barbara String Quartet played for the ceremony and it was magical. Jon Ireland was the officiant and he talked about the importance of giving up for the other person and giving in. He spoke on the importance of seeking to outserve each other in order to fight against selfishness within marriage. After the ceremony, the guests transitioned to the cocktail hour which overlooked the resort and the ocean. Holly and Ryan did an amazing job honoring their guests and giving them an incredible wedding experience. It was obvious how much everyone was enjoying the day and enjoying the chance to celebrate this incredible couple!
The reception dinner was al fresco and was illuminated by string lights wrapped in vines that hung overhead. The toasts were beautiful and heartfelt. Holly’s father reminisced on when he held Holly on his chest as a baby. From being married to his wife for 37 years, his advice to the couple was this: “Be kind to each other. Don’t let distance come between you. Tell each other you love each other every day. Be passionate about the things you love together. Have your passions both together and singular. You have to have your own digs in life too.” Such amazing advice!
After the toasts, they unleashed on the dance floor to one of our very favorite bands – Masta from DeBois entertainment. His Louie Armstrong impression is flawless! The dance floor was packed all night long and they kept the guests energized with late night snacks of chicken fingers, sliders, and fries. The dance came to a perfect conclusion with “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey as some of the best party people got on stage and started singing along. As Ryan and Holly started their grand exit, bubbles filled the air. They hopped on their jitney (which is a fancy word for golf cart) and headed off to their honeymoon suite.
We adored being part of this wonderful couple’s day! They had such a beautiful wedding and we know they will have an even more incredible marriage!
