Pulling off a suprise proposal can be tricky and nerve racking, but John did a fantastic job! John contacted us about a family portrait sesison for him and Jenna and their adorable boxer named Wrigley! They make the cutest family and we were so excited to photograph them, and then when he told us he was going to PROPOSE halfway through the portrait session, I just about peed my pants with excitement! James and I love photographing proposalas, and this was the perfect way to capture such a special moment! And we loved that Jenna had no idea what was about to happen!!

When the day came it was pouring rain, so we started by taking photos inside the Santa Barbara Court House and then slowly moved outside. When the time came, they ditched the umbrellas, embraced the pouring rain and he took her over by the brick stairs and got down on one knee!! It was dreamy and beautiful! As you can see Jenna was surprised and so excited, and they both shed a few happy tears!! It was a perfect moment and we all had a balst! And even Wrigley (their boxer) had a fun time being part of the photoshoot too! Congrats John + Jenna! We are so excited for you to tie the knot!!
