Funk Zone Engagement

Paul and Jess first met when they were 10 years old at the Boys & Girls club. Paul walked right up to her and told her that she was his girlfriend. How crazy is that?! From that day on they became close friends and after years and years of friendship they started to fall in love during Paul’s junior year in high school. It just clicked. They were best friends who feel in love, and the rest is history.

Jess is absolutely stunning, and can light up a whole room the second she walks in! Paul loves that she always puts others before herself, and she is one of the most driven women you’ll ever meet. (In fact, she will never say “I can’t” because she knows the world is full of possibilities.) She is strong an determined, smart and charismatic, an has some incredible style! Her first dress looked like the red dancing emoji come to life, and her second dress was a Flynn Skye dress, so we were in heaven!!

Paul is the guy you always want on your team! He is there for you in every way possible! One day his neighbor left the stove on while they were out smoke started to come out of the house. While others called 911, Paul got in through the kitchen window, turned off the stove and put the window back on. While all the neighbors were outside trying to figure out what to do, Paul had already solved the problem and acted like it was just any other day. What a hero! Paul has a heart of gold, and is always ready to love and serve those around him, and he’s incredibly handsome too! Jess loves how Paul always makes life fun and can’t wait to grow old with him, knowing that even when they are old and gray they will still feel like the same teenagers who fell in love!

After seven years of dating, Paul and Jess planned a 3 week Europe trip! Paul knew it would be the perfect time to propose, but he also knew he had to hide the ring from Jess for the first few days of the trip! While going through security at the airport, Paul was nervous TSA would say something, so he went through a different line and wrote a note to TSA to keep the ring private! He is brilliant! His plan worked, and Jess had no idea the ring was with them! A few days into the trip, Paul was ready to propose and didn’t want to wait any longer, so once they got to Barcelona he devised a perfect plan. He told Jess he wanted to get up super early and go for a hike to Park Guell, which has been on Jess’ bucket list when she was a child! Jess agreed, and that morning they arrived the second the gates opened and no one else was around! They hiked all the way up to a beautiful lookout spot, and Paul knew this was where we wanted to ask her. So he got down on one knee and asked his best friend, and childhood crush to he spend the rest of his life with him, and be his wife! She was surprised and so excited, and they were both filled with so many emotions that they both basically blacked out! After they made it down the hike, and continued soaking it all in they spent the rest for the day celebrating their engagement at their favorite Barcelona happy hour spots! (Which sounds like a total dream!) And then they continued celebrating for the rest of their trip in Santorini!

Our favorite thing about Paul and Jess is the way they serve each other and always put the other person first, and we LOVE the way they look at each other! Paul looks at Jess like she is the most beautiful thing in the world, and Jess said the way he looks at her  makes her feel home. We absolutely loved getting to now Paul and Jess as a couple, and we are thrilled for their wedding t the Historical Museum in September!
