I am absolutely in love with this wedding! Cody + Amy are two of my favorite people, and their wedding was perfect!

Their wedding took place at the bride’s sisters property in Bakersfield, and as you can see it is gorgeous!!

Cody and Amy have one of the best stories of how they met and started dating. I know I’ve shared it before, but it’s worth hearing again! Yes, it’s that good!
They’ve had a crush on each other since elementary school!! How crazy is that?! Cody transferred schools in fourth grade, and he noticed Amy right away. Over the next few years they got closer and closer as friends, started sitting by each other in every class, instant messaging each other till 3am! Then in high school Cody was the captain of the basketball team and Amy was the captain of the cheerleading squad, talk about the perfect high school set up! Their junior year they went on a double date and afterwards when they were walking on the beach Cody got down on one knee and asked her to be his girlfriend! Fast forward 8 years later, and Cody got back down on one knee and asked her to marry him, and 7 months later they are married! Their story seems like it’s straight out of a book, and when you meet them you know their love for each other is genuine and inspiring!
Their wedding was straight out of a fairytale!! Gold dresses, white flowers, beautiful tree canopies, pretty little flower girls with olive leaf crowns, cute ring bearers with suspenders, a stunning bride, handsome groom, and one of the best looking bridal parties I’ve ever seen! James and I had a blast photographing their wedding, and we have SO many favorite images!!

It has been such an amazing journey photographing them from Cody’s surprise proposal to Amy on a rooftop in downtown LA, to their engagement shoot at Knapps Castle, and now their wedding in Bakersfield! We are so excited to share these with you!!
