Oh how we love this time of year as the golden light drenches the coast just before sunset! And oh how we love this couple! The first time we got to hang out with them was over drinks before their engagement session, and we knew we loved them the second we all ordered the exact same drink. Classic, strong, and a hint of citrus. Any guesses? Old Fashioneds. We smiled the whole time, and could easily see why these two are perfect for each other. You know when you meet a couple and you can instantly see their chemistry? From the moment we hung out with CJ and Ashley we fell in love with the way he makes her laugh, the way she has to go on her tippy tippy toes to give him a kiss, and the way he effortlessly picks her up and spins her around. It’s so clear they are the best of friends, and madly in love. Being around them reminded us how lucky we are to work with such incredible couples, and we cannot wait for their wedding!

Our favorite couples are the ones who love to have fun together! They love everything about life together, and love to make the mundane every day exciting through little surprises and adventures. They love the outdoors, and last summer CJ and Ashley went on a trip to one of the most incredible places: Yosemite National Park. They went on an beautiful hike, and he once they got to the top, he got down on one knee and proposed! We love the way CJ first shared the news with the world, “in my favorite place in the world, my favorite person in the world agreed to be my wife!” Oh what a beautiful love story and a truly epic way to propose!

We had such a wonderful time running around the coast with these two for their engagement session! We loved watching them laugh and play in the golden light, and we still can’t get over how Ashley’s gorgeous hair catches the sunlight!  We are so excited to share a few of our favorites with you today, and we can’t wait for their wedding in downtown Santa Barbara next month!
